How to install

Step 1
Cut the rope to the length you want. Make a clean cut with a sharp tool.

Tools: a sharp knife, a lighter and a Phillips screwdriver. Hot rope can burn: never touch it until it has cooled.

Step 2
Melt the cut end with a flame and taper it to fit the rope end while hot. Shape the hot rope with a scrap of cardboard (a business card) so you never touch it. Let the rope cool before touching.

Step 3
Remove the stainless steel screw from the rope end.

Step 4
Twist the rope clockwise into the rope end as deep as it will go. Insert the stainless steel screw and tighten. Keep the rope from slipping out while you tighten the screw.
