How to install

  • No knots that work loose or jam, and no splicing skill needed.

  • The thimble protects the rope where it meets the shackle.

  • Reusable: move the clamps to new rope when the old one wears out.

  • Smooth composite clamps won't scratch your boat.

  • Larger anchor? Add more Double OT clamps and customize the kit.

Why boaters like it

  1. Wrap the rope around the stainless thimble to form an eye, with the tail running back alongside the line.

  2. Put the Double OT clamp just below the thimble with both ropes through it. Tighten the screws evenly so the eye holds the thimble snug.

  3. Further down, put the rope clamp around the tail and the line and tighten it. Space the clamps at least 4" and no more than 6" apart.

  4. Shackle the thimble to your anchor or chain.

  5. Finish the other end of the anchor line with the free rope end to stop fraying.

Yes. When your rope wears out, move the clamps, shackle and thimble to the new rope.

Is the rope included?

No. Rope and anchor are sold separately. Every kit includes a free E-Z-TY® rope end.

The E-Z-TY® Anchor Kit is a great way to connect the anchor on your boat. An E-Z-TY® Double OT Clamp and a regular E-Z-TY® Rope Clamp work together for extra holding power. For a larger anchor, add more Double OT Clamps; you can customize the kit to your needs. It's another example of the versatility of the E-Z-TY® product line. And if your rope wears out, just move the E-Z-TY® clamps to a new rope.
